Water Heater Technician

Position Overview

Conduct installations, repairs, and maintenance of water heating systems. Strong technical skills and knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems are required.

Duties & Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Technician at THE Water Heater Company is to expertly install, maintain, and repair residential water heaters, ensuring high levels of performance and customer satisfaction. This role involves continuous development in technical skills and product knowledge, effective time management, and independent work execution. The Technician will also collaborate with team members to promote the company’s brand and strive for excellence in all aspects of their work.

Requirements

Education

• Required: High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Technical Certification in Plumbing or HVAC.
• Communication Skills: Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication with clients, team members, and vendors.

Licensing/Registration/Certification

• Required: Valid driver’s license
• Background Check: Ability to pass a background check, including drug testing and motor vehicle record review.

Experience

• Preferred: 1+ years of experience in water heater installation, repair, or general plumbing.
• Additional Experience: Experience with both tank and tankless water heating systems is an advantage.

Physical Abilities

• Body Movements: Ability to sit, stand, kneel, walk, climb, crawl, and lift as required.
• Visual and Physical Strength: Capability to visually inspect equipment, interpret information, and lift heavy objects as needed.

Mental Abilities

• Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Language Proficiency: Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Spatial Awareness: Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
